About Us
The Archimedes Alliance is dedicated to promoting the policy keys of innovation. Named after the famous inventor to shout “eureka!”, the Archimedes Alliance is committed to multiplying the creation of innovative products around the world by fostering an environment that allows creators to thrive.
The keys to innovation include the protection of IP, a dedication to outcome-focused policymaking (as opposed to process) and free-market solutions. The Alliance defends against proposals such as compulsory licensing that weaken intellectual property rights and other heavy-handed regulatory approaches that result in counterproductive policy outcomes and violate the principles of a free-market economy.
The Archimedes Alliance is a global multi-issue policy network composed of leading free-market think-tanks and policy fellows throughout the world. Archimedes coordinates the global advocacy of think tanks and activists while raising awareness and proposing concrete market-based solutions to policymakers.
